Media reported about the detention of the parents of the men who attacked passers-by in Paris
The parents of a young man on Saturday evening attacked with a knife at passers-by in the centre of Paris, detained, radio station RTL.
PARIS, may 13 — RIA Novosti, Victoria Ivanova. “The assailant has been identified, the parents are detained”, — said the radio.
Earlier it was reported that the man was a native of Chechnya.
According to the BFMTV, the assailant was born in 1997.
The incident occurred at about 21.00 (22.00 MSK) in the second arrondissement near the opéra. A man with a knife attacked passers-by in the area where is plenty of bars and restaurants. In the attack one person was fatally wounded and died. Another four were injured, two of them were seriously injured. The police eliminated the attacker.
Earlier, the Prosecutor of Paris Francois Molins said that the police found in the incident a terrorist trail. Responsibility for the incident took terrorist group “Islamic state”*, noted by the French media.
