Trump said that the US will not do more to help Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador
Moscow. 28 Dec. INTERFAX.RU American President Donald trump said Friday that the United States will cease to provide any assistance to Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador because of their inability to solve the migration problem.
“Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador are doing nothing for US, only take our money,” wrote trump on Twitter.
“I heard that the new caravan (migrants — if) is formed in Honduras and they did not take any action on this matter. We will stop all aid to these three countries,” he said.
The US President added that the three countries “for many years used the U.S. to get benefits.”
This year since October, several large caravans of migrants headed to the US border through Mexico. The total number of participants amounted to about 10 thousand people. Among migrants — citizens of Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.
Trump has repeatedly accused the Mexican government of failing to contain “the caravans” of illegal immigrants.
