From the local inhabitants is not alone.

In Japan, as indeed in any other country, there are many deserted towns and villages. Perhaps, a huge Park in the village Foresee Seibutsu, but Sato, near the town Sawano in Toyama Prefecture, would have remained unknown, if this is not the place came across photographer Ken Oki, known under the pseudonym Yukison.

Studying the terrain, the photographer found himself in a deserted Park covered with dense vegetation. The eerie opening, to which he stumbled, were stone statues of people who looked too realistic.

The statue is very diverse: among them there are Buddhist monks (meditators or doing daily activities), and mythological creatures with the bodies of humans and heads of animals. Also there are Buddha statues and the Mutsuo Furukawa. But most of the sculptures — figures of ordinary people, sitting on pedestals. It is believed to be accurate copies of the people who lived in this village and personally familiar with Furukawa. There are also statues of relatives and close friends of the businessman. It should be noted that all of them are very detailed and it’s a little scary.

Creating copies of real people and myself, Furukawa was hoping to leave the memory of himself and thus attain “eternal life.”
