The name of the Pul received from the old Norse Fuglaey, which means “bird island”. This is not surprising: here you can see puffins, gannets and many other birds. But the main reason coming here every year attracts more tourists — hundreds of little horses.

Fula became famous because it is here where the famous Shetland pony breed. These animals are considered to be one of the smallest among their relatives, with their thick fur and short, powerful legs. Shetland miniature horses — quite intelligent animals, and lately they have even began to prepare to guide dogs.
