The Syrian artist and architect, Mohamad Hafez, who has long lived and worked in the USA, creates amazing miniature worlds in which exactly conveys the atmosphere and the interior of houses and apartments, as well as space outside.

Perhaps the most impressive series of his works called UNPACKED: Refugee Baggage (“Unpacked: baggage of a refugee”). It represents an open suitcase, inside of which “built” a miniature and very realistic house, tiny machines, plants and furnishings. They remind me of difficult journeys, who are forced to commit people, fleeing from war and leaving their homes.

All the works of Hafez linked with audio recordings of refugees from Afghanistan, Congo, Syria, Iraq and Sudan. History records each of Armed Hafez al-Badr is an Iraqi refugee and student of Wesleyan University.
