A series of photos that appeared in the end of this journey, became a document of a bygone era. Unique wooden architecture of the North on the background of sea and mountain landscape captivates with its beauty. But the main thing is the stories of the people who once lived in Ghost houses.

Marie asks the neighbors and relatives of the former owners and finds out why the owners never returned to that or another dwelling. Someone moved to the city in search of work, someone died without leaving heirs, and someone even left to another country.

For the sake of the project, Britt sold her apartment in Oslo and moved to the North of the country.

“It wasn’t easy to completely change the environment and start over. Not to mention the snow in June and September, and in General, the snow in any time of the year — said the photographer. But I was rewarded the opportunity to explore this beautiful region and tell stories of long-forgotten homes, and it’s all worth it”.
