Russian President Vladimir Putin considers it necessary to address gender inequalities and to remove the career limitations for women in the world.
“The world, the state will only benefit if women’s success stories will be more”, — said the head of state, speaking at the forum. According to him, “then we can strengthen national capacity to ensure sustainable global development, and for the whole civilization.”
Putin also believes: “In the common interest to solve the problem of gender inequality, to remove many existing yet, unfortunately, stereotypes and career limitations and, very importantly, open the way to obtain the necessary education for girls, to create comfortable conditions for work and running your own business, for a woman to feel independent, to effectively guarantee social and legal protection”.
The head of state noted that “it is important to maintain traditional values — the values of family and motherhood that do not depend on social order and technological progress, and are common to countries with different cultures and customs.”
The President has declared readiness to create the best opportunities for self-realization of women. “We are ready to share their solutions and use of effective experiences of other countries, so meetings like yours are very important, together to create the best opportunities for self-realization of women, in order to enable you to build your life, to ensure a worthy future to children, to make better the world around them” — said the head of state.
According to him, “our strategy of action in favour of women is a complex and multifaceted”. “It includes support to small businesses and individual entrepreneurship, including in the social sphere, support of volunteerism and NGOs, development of education and health, creating conditions for the success of all active and motivated people,” — said the President.
