In the list of the most secluded places in the world by travel agencies, there was an unusual cottage Shipwreck Lodge.
It is located in the North-West of Namibia on the skeleton coast, which is considered part of the Namib desert.
Fog, storms, coastal rocks and the cold Benguela current has created hazardous conditions for ships. Many have been shipwrecked in these parts. The wreckage of old boats can be seen along the coast among the sand.
If the mariners happened to survive and get to shore, they found themselves in one of the driest deserts in the world. Not having a chance to survive, they died in a few days. So beach got its name. In our time, skeleton Coast national Park.
Shipwreck Lodge hotel is designed to resemble a shipwrecked ship. This is the only luxury accommodation in the national Park. It is surrounded by dunes and endless plains, among which are scattered the bones of whales and more than a thousand wrecked ships.
