50-year-old artist Philip Barlow from Cape town has gained international recognition thanks to his unusual painting technique. Now, when the art is dominated by hyperrealism, he creates quite the opposite of the work.

For more than 15 years Barlow in his work shows the world through the eyes of people with visual impairments. Blurred outlines and bright spots is details — what you see is what people suffering from myopia.

Barlow explains that he decided to choose this way of transmission of stories, because the viewer can use their imagination to engage in the creative process and think out the picture.
