Ex-employee of the Ministry of Kuzbass has left under arrest

The Kemerovo regional court on Friday upheld the decision to arrest until 25 September the former head of the Department of supervision and preventive work of EMERCOM in Kemerovo, Berezovsky and Kemerovo district Grigoriy Terentyev accused of negligence in the case of the fire in the shopping center “Winter cherry”, the correspondent of RIA Novosti news from the courtroom.

According to investigators, Terentyev and former head of the main Department of EMERCOM in Kemerovo oblast Alexander Mamontov does not have planned and held in 2017-2018, an inspection of observance of requirements of fire safety at operation of OAO “kemerovskijj konditerskijj Kombinat” shopping center “Winter cherry”, where on 25 March there was a big fire. They were detained and arrested on 25 may until 25 July, after the court investigation at the request of both extended the period of detention for another two months.
A fire in a shopping centre, “Winter cherry” was March 25 and claimed the lives of 60 people. Currently involved in a criminal case upon state of emergency are 11 people, including the owners and managers of the building, the security guard, heads of the regional emergency situations Ministry, and also responsible for the introduction of the shopping center into operation, the fire alarm and direct the fire suppression at the scene. They are all detained and arrested.
