MOSCOW, July 24. /TASS/. The us proposed to hold a new meeting between the leaders of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Donald trump at the end of 2018 in Washington, but work on its preparation has not yet started. This was stated to journalists by the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
He noted that during the meeting in Helsinki, the two presidents agreed on the usefulness and the need to continue their bilateral contacts. “Specifically in Helsinki the question of the organization of upcoming contacts was not discussed, but a few days later, the American side proposed to hold the next summit in Washington at the end of the current year, – said the assistant President. – The proposal was referred to the assistant to the President for national security John Bolton, trump repeatedly in their speeches touched upon this issue. As for the practical preparation of new meetings, such work has not yet begun.”
