Putin announced the imminent equation for the number of employees and pensioners without raising the retirement age
Moscow. July 20. INTERFAX.RU — Russian President Vladimir Putin said that to maintain for ten years the current pension system opportunities in the country enough, but very quickly the number of employees equal to the number of unemployed.
“By and large, it is possible to do nothing. For five-six-seven and even, perhaps, ten years, in principle we have enough possibilities to maintain the pension system. But what’s going on? And what will happen in the short and medium and long term?” Putin said in the course of communication with volunteers during a visit to the stadium “Kaliningrad”.
Now the average lifespan, said the head of state, is 73, 5 years, next year will be — 74.3 years. “A forecast, but it is likely fairly accurate, says that by the end of this transitional period for men 2028 — as proposed by the government, the average life expectancy for men over 75 years old, the average life expectancy of women at the time of completion of the transition period — 2034 — will be over 85 years”, — said Putin.
In 1970, recalled the head of state, one pensioner had 3.7 V working citizens.
Today per retiree to two workers, i.e. almost twice reduced the number. Five retirees we have now six working. And the situation will not change in favor of workers, their number will be reduced. And there will come a time when the number of employees equal to the number of the unemployed, will decrease.Mr Putinprime of the Russian Federation
He stressed that in this case, “either the pension system will burst, or the budget and reserve funds, of which we today are funding the deficit of the pension system — it will burst.”
“Of course, we have a lot of problems in the economy, but it is stable, it evolves, and in General there is a large margin of safety. And, if you think not about today, tomorrow, then of course you need to keep in mind all these circumstances”, — Putin said.
He said by 2030, according to forecasts, the time of life after retirement among men over 15 and women over 24 years.
Putin about the changes in the retirement age: you don’t like and the decision is still pending
“We are sad to talk about such things, but when decisions of this magnitude and for such sensitive people, you need to operate on concrete things and real professional forecasts”, — said the President of the Russian Federation.
On the eve of the state Duma adopted in the first reading a government bill to raise the retirement age. It implies, in particular, raising the retirement from 55 and 60 years for women and men to 63 and 65 years respectively.
