The Tribunal in the Donbass Poroshenko sentenced to life imprisonment

Moscow. June 22. INTERFAX.RU — participants of the “Ukrainian people’s Tribunal” in Minsk sentenced the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and a number of Ukrainian politicians to life in prison for crimes against civilians in the Donbass.

The sentencing of the participants of “Ukrainian people’s Tribunal” was held at the theatre square in downtown Lugansk, reports “Interfax”.

According to the verdict of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Secretary of national security Council and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy paruby, Ukraine’s defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and chief of General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the current Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman have been convicted of crimes against the civilian population of Donbass and sentenced to life imprisonment.

March 15 at the Donbass announced the creation of a “people’s Tribunal” on war crimes of Ukrainian authorities against peaceful residents.

“The Ukrainian people’s Tribunal” acts on the basis of the Ukrainian legislation, it is attended by judges, public Prosecutor, public defender and 12 jurors.
