The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian Muslims on Eid al-Adha, said on Friday the press-service of the Kremlin.
“This holiday is widely celebrated throughout the country — both in religious communities and in the family circle,” — said the head of state. “For many years Muslim organizations in Russia actively participate in the life of the country and society, paying steadfast attention to questions of savings of the family institution and family values, matters of charity and education, — said Putin. — Care about the preservation of interethnic and interreligious peace. And of course, it is important that the customs and traditions of their ancestors attached youth.”
