Boris Mazo decided to look abroad
Wanted in Russia, accused of embezzlement of funds allocated for the construction of the Hermitage, was not successful.
As it became known””, in the case of fraud at 450 million rubles during the construction of the State Hermitage TFR was declared wanted ex-head of the asset management Department and investment policy of the Ministry of culture Boris Mazo. Soon the ex-official, who is abroad, obviously, will be arrested in absentia by the court, and his search will be international. The lawyers argue that their claims investigation they are not officially announced. According to them, Mr. Mazo is on treatment.
As reported by Kommersant’s source close to the Investigative Committee of Russia, shortly after the criminal case about large fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code) the investigators and the FSB officers who conducted the arrest of the defendants in the investigation, searched the house of Boris Mazo, but he himself is not caught. The result of full-time charges were brought against former Deputy Minister of culture Gregory Pirumov whom the consequence considers as the organizer of the fraud, and the owner of the group “Rospan” Nikita Kolesnikov, the enterprises which participated in the construction of the Hermitage. Both were arrested by the decisions of the Basmanny district court and sent to jail. While Mr. Mazo, says a source, “Kommersant”, the investigation was declared a Federal wanted list, which will soon become international. In any case, the TFR is already preparing an appeal to the court about the arrest of the alleged accomplice to the theft.
