“Queen of bonding” about the dresses, Casanova and “clear guys”

It employs Weld Queen (eng. — “Queen of the welding”) — the artist Alexander Ivlev. Three years ago she rented the property, renovated the building and began to cook. Steel, not soup.
“Casanova, you’re handsome.”
“My mother is a professional chef, says Alexander. And she told me all the child said, “Sasha, not only in the cooks, it’s hard work, all the time on legs, the pan drag…” Now I’m laughing: “Mom, I listened, I don’t cook. But also cook”.
Sasha didn’t plan to become either a painter or a welder. Just eleven years ago it began to come of the idea, and she began painting in oils. “But it was not, she says. I was looking for your stuff. Came to his father and asked: teach me how to cook”. Dad-the engineer was delighted, and soon Sasha was cooking metal fixtures: “I took a piece of metal in his hands and realized that I was like a magnet pulling”.
Then Sasha got the education I learned in College and became a welder of the third category. Maybe she even went to ever work in a factory. But in 2015, it woke the cat. Or rather, the idea is to create a sculpture of a meditating cat. “I woke up and sat on the bed in the Lotus position. I imagine that I’m a big cat meditating. As if felt in his body, she remembers. Presented that people come, sit with me, and they are so quietly become. And I rushed him to do.” Two months meditating cat Tihami first went to the exhibition.
Since then, the idea of sculptures began to come one after another. Sasha says: “come” they come. “Once I was riding the train and just painted. I draw the line is going, going… And I realize this. They say to him:

Now Casanova lives in her Studio. This bright orange iron “man” on which to sit and swing. Sasha loves to do rocking, calls them interactive sculptures. Her work often are not placed in museums and parks: there they are, and benches, and swings, and decoration. Every person who sits on such a sculpture creates its own performance, both for themselves and for others.
The first rocking Sasha became “the fire horse” is a horse of red: “a friend had a birthday, and I was thinking what to give big boy? And decided that the horse wanted every child”. And then I went to the sculpture”people”. “This is the Doryphoros, — introduces us to Sasha. The ancient Canon of the male figure. Contemporary Doryphoros is a well-groomed man, with a beard. I’m not a fan of bearded men, but it reflects our reality…” There are women’s analog — Madonna. The sculptures of no individuals: it is assumed that the viewer will draw it in the imagination itself.
Sasha shows us his closet. “Welding is a traditional Russian dress when I put it on, then wearing a mask as a headdress, she says. — This evening, with ruffles, to wear to the opening of the exhibition. But angel costume. The angels are our helpers, they patch holes of the universe, and when they do, they need wings in the color of the clouds to disguise themselves…”.
All these costumes are made of fire-resistant tarpaulin, each of them Sasha’s cooking. It’s part of her mythology. The world that she dreamed up herself, and about which it is possible to write a book like Lord of the rings. It is and galactic welders, and welder-Superman. Now Sasha, however, ordinary working suit and special boots with iron toes: “So, if here will drop a piece of iron, I have not hit the finger.” Their costumes Sasha composes herself. And providing performances and master classes.

The outfits Sasha adds “the bag for strong women,” welded fittings — it is, in General, not so much weight, the usual handbags and come in heavier.

And at 5.30 am I was awakened by an idea: to do sports welding suit for “clear guys”, but to him the bag of fittings with the beer and seeds.”
Although the welders — “clear guys” and can sometimes drink beer, Sasha asks him not to think of them cliche. “All these stereotypes about “drunken the welders”… Yes the welder can not be drunk in the factory, because it simply will not allow to work! From what he’s doing, lives depend”.
A real welder
“When I meet with a man talking about his work, the first reaction is disbelief. Ask: “are you Kidding?” Then I tell you, and they have a suspicion that I am a welder, — tells Sasha. And at shows when I come in a mask, sometimes ironically ask: “And the welder is real? Really cook?” What can I say? Well, cook…”.
