Sobchak has filed documents to the CEC for the presidential nomination

MOSCOW, 25 Dec — RIA Novosti. TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak on Monday filed to the CEC documents for the nomination in presidents of Russia from party “Civil initiative”, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

Sobchak, positioning himself as the candidate “against all”, goes to the polls from “the Civil initiative” eks-the Minister of Economics of Russia Andrey Nechaeva. Saturday’s party Congress adopted the decision on nomination of its candidates for the elections in March 2018. In addition, the delegates voted to include Sobchak in the composition of party leadership, electing a member of the Federal political Council.

The presenter was the third female candidate submitted documents to CEC for running. On Saturday, the party “Russian United labour front” has filed papers to nominate its candidate — a crane operator of metallurgical plant “Petrostal” Natalia Lisitsyna, and on Sunday the election Commission has accepted documents of the Chairman of the party “Women’s dialogue” Elena Semerikova.

Earlier during the opening of the headquarters in Yekaterinburg Sobchak said that her campaign “is designed for people who don’t like to live in poverty in the richest country,” noting that for her the really important themes for women. On Saturday the Congress of Civil initiatives she presented her election program, which is called “123 hard step” and proposed domestic and foreign policy, economic development, social policy.

The documents submitted to CEC by the candidate of the party at the stage of nomination shall contain the decision of the Congress, a statement of consent to run, proof of biographical data, and also data on incomes and expenditures, deposits and securities. Presidential candidates from non-parliamentary parties, including “Civil initiative”, at the registration stage you will need to collect signatures of voters in his support not less than 100 thousand, and for one region must not be more than 2,5 thousand signatures.
