Towards elections made by the initiative group
Vladimir Putin is preparing to nominate for President.
According to “Kommersant”, on Tuesday evening a meeting of supporters of Vladimir Putin, who will take the decision on creation of initiative group for his nomination for the presidency. Members of the initiative group may be co-Chairman of the Central headquarters of the popular front Stanislav Govorukhin, singer Nikolay Rastorguev, doctor Leo Bokeria. Some regions have already started to form campaign headquarters under the leadership of governors and Vice-governors, in the Crimea it will be headed by the head of the Republic Sergey Aksenov.
Monday officially started the election campaign before the presidential elections that will be held on March 18. On December 19 Vladimir Putin, which will go on elections as the independent candidate, will take part in the annual final forum of the popular front “Russia looking into the future”. As expected, the President will be visiting the exhibition, which presents the results of the work of the onf, but also “will speak at the plenary session and chat with the most active participants”, said the press service of the Kremlin.
In the evening after the forum, according to “Kommersant”, will be held meeting at which a decision will be made on the establishment of the initiative group to nominate Vladimir Putin for the presidency. The meeting will be attended by about 20 people, they will also discuss possible personnel for entry into the group (must be at least 500 participants).
According to the approved Monday by the CEC to plan the election campaign, the nomination of the candidates ends on 7 January. All candidates can submit documents to the CEC for registration starting from 27 December to 31 January.
As wrote “Kommersant” on 13 December, the collection of the entire initiative group will take place at ENEA immediately after the Congress of “United Russia”, which will be held on December 22-23. It will include United Russia, public figures and famous people. In particular, the initiative group will include the co-chair of the Central headquarters of the popular front, a state Duma Deputy Stanislav Govorukhin. In 2012, he headed the election headquarters of Vladimir Putin. Whether it will be the head of the initiative group on the nomination of Mr. Putin’s interlocutors “” have not yet specified.
From the onf in the group will also be another co-chair, state Duma Deputy Olga Timofeeva, head of the Executive Committee of the movement Alexey Anisimov, the representative of the “Youth front”. Also in the group and expect stellar representatives. According to “Kommersant”, this can be the singer Nikolay Rastorguev, actor Mikhail Boyarsky, doctor Leo Bokeria, (they were the Trustees of Vladimir Putin’s election in 2012). Mr. Bokeria told Kommersant that while the invitation is not received, but, “if it comes, with pleasure will accept it”.
Note that at a press conference on 14 December, Vladimir Putin said that he would like to his staff was composed of “people reputable, well-known in the country and who wholeheartedly support the policy, which is carried out over the past years.” As wrote “Kommersant” on December 7, the most likely candidates for the heads of campaign headquarters are the head of the presidential administration Anton Vaino, and his first Deputy, Sergei Kiriyenko. Regional headquarters of Vladimir Putin in most of the regions will be headed by Vice-governors on internal politics. About this “Kommersant” said in the administrations of Stavropol, Perm, Primorsky region, Rostov region, Nenets Autonomous district. In St. Petersburg the presidential headquarters already operates on the basis of the city administration. It was headed by Vice-Governor on internal policy Konstantin Serov, the staff includes all members of the St. Petersburg government.
In some regions the management of the headquarters took on the governors. The campaign headquarters of the President in the Crimea will be headed by the head of the Republic Sergey Aksenov. About this “Kommersant” said the Chairman of the Advisory Council under the head of Crimea Alexander Formanchuk. According to him, the head of a subject told in a personal conversation: “So Vladimir Putin goes on elections the self-promoted, it would be strange if the staff was headed by the Secretary of the Crimean organization of the “United Russia” Vladimir Konstantinov (speaker of the state Council of the Crimea.— “Kommersant”). Although later, when the headquarters will be formed, people from the ruling party can be part of it.”
He added that Sergey Aksenov in the work of staff intends to enlist the support of all parties represented in the Crimea, public and national-cultural organizations. The Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Olga Nikitenko said that the region “has created a special headquarters to promote the electoral Commission under the leadership of the Governor.”
