Work on laying the railway in the Voronezh and Rostov regions, bypassing Ukraine will be completed by August 1. About it as transfers TASS, said the head of the Main Directorate of railway troops of the Ministry of defense Lieutenant-General Oleg Kosenkov. Thus, to take a new section of railway military plans for two weeks ahead of schedule.
“The opening of the labor movement on a railway section zhuravka (Voronezh oblast) — Millerovo (Rostov oblast) is scheduled for August of this year. Laying rail-sleeper grid in full on this site we will finish before 1 August”, — assured Kosenkov.
According to him, the construction of the permanent way is conducted in six stages with a total volume of 170,2 km. “Today, produced by laying rail-sleeper grid of more than 60 percent of plan,” he said.
Construction of double track electrified Railways lines on the zhuravka — Millerovo began after the deterioration of relations with Ukraine in 2014. A decree on the construction of the railway was signed by the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on 21 September 2015.
In Rostov and Voronezh regions will be built seven new stations: Zaitsivka, Sergeevka, Sokhranovka, Kuteynikovo, Vinogradovka, Wells and Bochenkova, will also be reconstructed station zhuravka.
In the Railways said earlier that the new railway will increase the capacity of the infrastructure to ensure transport security of freight and passenger traffic.
