“The President of Russia on a daily basis performs a variety of contacts internationally, including with the heads of other States. Not all of them are subject to the relevant press services, as well as the overall events of the work schedule of the President, including a much larger number of meetings, contacts,” — said Peskov.
The evening of 28 April, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that Putin and Poroshenko secretly talk on the phone. In particular, in the first half of April the two leaders held a 20-minute conversation, during which periodically “switched to playfully ironic tone”. “The presidents were forced to joke, not to quarrel and not to tell each other sharps,” — said the source publication.
In total, according to “Kommersant”, during the first two months of 2017 Putin and Poroshenko talked among themselves four times. The parties have not betrayed it to the public to not let the enemies of the Ukrainian President reason to accuse him “unpatriotic” behavior.
In mid-April, Putin and Poroshenko talked on the phone in the “Norman format” in the meeting was also attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French leader Francois Hollande.
