The foreign Ministry reacted to the statement by the White house about Russia’s isolation in the UN
UN, 28 APR — RIA Novosti, Olga Denisova. Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Gennady Gatilov called “strange” a White House statement about the “isolation of Russia in the UN”.
The US administration had previously called one of the achievements of President Donald trump’s first 100 days in power in foreign policy, “the isolation of Russia in the UN”.
This was stated in the press service of the White house about the main merits of trump as President.
“A strange statement. On the contrary, we seek cooperation with all countries, including, primarily, with the United States in the UN,” — said Gatilov reporters on Friday.
“I think we should talk… not about to put someone in isolation, and to seek common ground and thereby reach a mutually acceptable solutions to existing problems. This should underpin the work of the UN, and not to put someone in isolation,” said Deputy foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.
