The Ministry of emergency situations (MES) of Russia has introduced 17:00 GMT on 28 April a state of emergency throughout the territory of the Siberian Federal district in connection with wildfires. This was stated by the head of Department Vladimir Puchkov at the meeting of the working group of the Commission on fire situation. His words leads RIA Novosti.
Puchkov instructed to take special control over forecast changes in weather conditions on the territory of Buryatia and the Irkutsk region to increase in these regions, the aviation group. In addition, the Minister instructed the National control centre in crisis situations to use the space monitoring system to provide timely information on new outbreaks.
During the meeting the Minister reported that the wildfires caused the fire almost 100 houses in the Irkutsk region and Buryatia Republic.
Erupted April 28, a fire in the village of Bubnivka Irkutsk region accompanied by a strong wind and destroyed most of the settlement burned down over 50 homes, a school and a kindergarten. Investigators opened a criminal case under article “Negligence”.
