Medvedev urged to restore confidence in Russian football

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged Vice-Premier Vitaly Mutko, responsible for the development of sport, increase interest in Russian football. His words leads TASS on Friday, April 28.

Medvedev cited the words of Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky told about the popularity of the family trips to hockey games. “We need to make our people with the same pleasure went to watch football,” — said the head of government.

Vitaly Mutko acknowledged that the attitude of Russian football has worsened, in particular — reduced the level of confidence in the national team the country.

“Of course, we’ll still support our team, we will be cheering for real, but they try too”, — said Dmitry Medvedev.

Earlier Friday it was reported that the Prime Minister discussed with Mutko scandal at the match between “Zenit” and “Ural”, in which the referee Alexey Eskov removed three players Yekaterinburg club.
