The Pentagon has invited hackers to take part in the program “Crack United States air force”

The Pentagon has invited hackers to take part in a program called “Crack the air defense of the United States” (“Hack the Air Force”), launched to search for vulnerabilities of cybersecurity, the U.S. air force.

The official announcement is posted on the Agency’s website.

“The U.S. air force invite trusted security professionals from the United States and some partner countries to make every effort to crack some of the key state web sites”, — stated in the message Department.

Registration for participation in the program will open on may 15, the contest will be held from 30 may to 23 June

To participate in the program invited specialists from the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The us defense Department noted that the program is running in order to find “talents both inside and outside the Ministry of defense.” The air force chief of staff General David, Goldfein also stated that this approach will strengthen the cybersecurity of the United States.

To participate in the competition “Hack the Pentagon”, which the office conducted in April 2016, registered more than 1,400 hackers, according to the Agency. Nearly 200 of the vulnerability reports were received during the first six hours after starting the program, and $75 thousand of the remuneration was paid to the hackers who participated in the program.
