Salvador, the first in the world banned the production of metals
El Salvador has become the first state to ban metals mining in their territory. Now the law prohibits “prospecting, mining or processing of metallic minerals in El Salvador”.
The innovation reported on the portal Phys.Org.
“The adoption of this law was necessary in light of industry development that brings society benefits, but causes serious pollution of the environment and water resources”, — said the President of the Ecological unit of El Salvador.
