Shooting at an ascent of Elbrus climbers died
NALCHIK, 27 Jun — RIA Novosti. The second climber had escaped on Thursday when ascent, died during transport down, told RIA Novosti the head of the Elbrus highland search and rescue team of EMERCOM of Russia Abdullah Guliyev.
As previously reported, at 06.10 GMT on Thursday, it was reported that on the East side of mount Elbrus roughly at a height of 4.9 thousand meters broke two climbers. The man died, the woman received a head injury. The group of climbers consisted of four people.
“A woman who suffered an open fracture of the skull, unfortunately, also died when it began to descend,” said Guliyev.
He said that both victims were guides on Elbrus and lived in Nalchik.
