Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his meeting with Chinese President XI Jinping in Beijing will support an unprecedented level of Russian-Chinese relations. His words leads TASS on Wednesday, April 26.
“The closest contact we have with President XI Jinping on may 14-15, within the framework of an international conference held by the Chinese leadership and is aimed at developing economic cooperation in the region and the world”, — Putin said at a meeting with the head of the office of the Central Committee of the Communist party of China (CPC Central Committee) Li Zhanshu.
The Russian leader also asked Zhanshu to convey to the President of China best wishes.
In turn, Li Zhanshu thanked Putin for the meeting and noted that at present Russian-Chinese relations have “acquired a Mature sustainable”.
In late March, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that strengthening trade ties with China remains Russia’s unshakable priority. He also stressed that Moscow satisfied with development of cooperation with China.
On 20 November last year, Putin said at a meeting with XI Jinping said in may 2017 intends to visit China. Following the talks, the sides noted that bilateral cooperation is developing successfully.
