More than 50 participants of the bandit underground and their accomplices detained in Chechnya in the first three months of 2017, 16 militants killed. This was announced by the head of the Republic Ramzan Kadyrov on the Board of the regional interior Ministry.
“For the first quarter of the year detained more than 50 participants and accomplices of illegal armed groups, while rendering armed resistance destroyed 16 militants. Successfully the work on the prevention of terrorism and extremism. Work in this direction needs to continue,” – said Kadyrov.
He also noted the success of law enforcement agencies of the region, revealing the vast majority occurring in Chechnya of crimes.
“Overall crime is increasing and now stands at over 96%, it is one of the best in the country. An important factor of stability and security is the growth of trust of citizens to law enforcement agencies. We must continue to work closely with the population in order to identify and stop illegal activities,” – said the head of Chechnya.
The head of the Republic also stressed the importance of effective fight against corruption, drug abuse and traffic violations.
