Roscosmos excluded from the squad of three astronauts
MOSCOW, April 24. /TASS/. The interdepartmental Commission of the state Corporation “Rosatom” decided to expel him from the cosmonaut Sergey Volkov, Alexander Samokutyaev and Sergei Revin, the press service of the cosmonaut training Center.
“The interdepartmental Commission of the state Corporation “Roscosmos” for selection of cosmonauts and their assignment to the crews of the manned vehicles and stations following the meeting on April 21 decided to recommend to the fgbu “NII CTC after Yu. a. Gagarin” release Sergei Volkov from the post of instructor-cosmonaut — tester of 1st class cosmonaut Alexander Samokutyaev, from an instructor-test cosmonaut, Deputy commander of the cosmonaut detachment, and Sergey Revin — from the post of a test cosmonaut 3rd class cosmonaut group unit of fgbu “NII CTC after Yu. a. Gagarin” — said in the message, received by TASS.
Previously, the TASS source in the space industry reported that wolves had written a resignation at own will, the other two astronauts were barred from flying for medical reasons.
Wolves made three space flights with a total duration of 547 days, performed four spacewalks with a total duration of 23 hours 26 minutes. The first flight he performed in 2008, second in 2011, third is from September 2015 to March 2016.
Samokutyaev performed two space flights. First in 2011, second in 2014. Duration of flights amounted to 331 days, twice went into space.
Revin performed one space flight in 2012. The duration of his flight was 125 days.
