Lesya Ukrainka (real name Larisa Petrivna Kosach-Kvitka) was born on 25 February 1871 in Novohrad-Volyns’kyi died on 1 Aug 1913 in Georgia. Outstanding Ukrainian poetess, her name was the national academic theater of Russian drama in Kiev. Portrait of Lesja Ukrainka is placed on a Ukrainian banknote of 200 hryvnias.
