What happens when you cross a cow with a capybara? Takin!

At the end of March at the Cincinnati zoo was born a baby takin. Takin — toed ungulates are mammals that live in the Eastern Himalayas. They are large, furry and funny, and look like a cow crossed with a capybara.

Little takin from Cincinnati was a girl. It was called Meg.

Similar “fake” mountains set in other zoos. In St. Louis (Missouri) on them rest the whole family takin.
