Published the shortlist for the International man Booker prize
Moscow. April 20. INTERFAX.RU — the jury of the International Booker prize on Thursday announced the shortlist of nominees for one of the most prestigious literary awards in the world, reports The Guardian.
It included six authors: Matias ENAR (France), David Grossman (Israel), Roy Jacobsen (Norway), Dorti North (Denmark), Amos Oz (Israel) and Samantha Sublin (Argentina).
The international Booker prize is awarded to English-language authors and those whose books have been translated into English. In this case also awarded to the translator. So, all the authors and the translators, who are in the shortlist will receive the reward of 1000 pounds (about $1300). The main prize of 50 thousand pounds ($64000) will be divided in half.
The winner will be announced June 14.
