Three state Duma deputies from “United Russia” withdrew their signatures under the draft law on the legal mechanism of burial of the remains of Vladimir Lenin. This is recorded in the database Duma’s legislative activities on Thursday, April 20.
We are talking about the deputies of Evgenia Marchenko, Nikolay Brykin and Vitaly Bakhmetyev. Along with three colleagues from the liberal democratic party they have submitted for consideration the lower chamber of Parliament the bill “About burial and funeral business”. In particular, legislators propose to make mandatory the creation of interdepartmental commissions when solving the issue of reburial of the remains of historical figures. Separately stands out the question of the burial of the body of Vladimir Lenin.
“The analysis of normative-legal base allows to conclude that to date, the status of the remains of V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) lies within the legal field”, — stated in the materials to the bill.
The authors also appeal to the results of a survey conducted by the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion, according to which 60 percent of Russians support the burial of the body of the leader of the revolution.

Earlier in the day Deputy Secretary of General Council of United Russia Yevgeny Revenko said that the MPs did not discuss this legislative initiative with his faction. He stressed that the United Russia party in favor of laws that are “aimed at strengthening harmony in the society, not to split”.
Last week, two deputies of United Russia Vasily Piskarev and Ernest Valeev, withdrew his bill to expand police powers. Legislators, in particular, was to allow to open fire on the crowd to prevent a terrorist attack and reflections group attack on the authorities. Vice-speaker of the Duma, Secretary of General Council of United Russia Sergei Neverov said that the initiative was introduced without a proper discussion.
