The state Duma adopted in the first reading the bill allowing full families to nominate their children, guardians, which they will give in the event of premature death of the parents. On Wednesday, April 19, RIA Novosti reported.
At the moment the legislation allows such a choice only for single parents. Thus, not accounted for a situation when mother and father in a full family die at the same time.
According to the authors of the bill, such situations really often, and when they occur requires the protection of the interests of imperfect children left without both parents.
“The bill fills a gap in the legislative regulation of the issue of the definition of a guardian or conservator of a minor child and includes the right to determine such guardian or Trustee as the sole parent, or both parents”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
