Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called the extremely unfortunate decision of Kiev about the ban on entry the Russian participants of “Eurovision” Yulia Samoilova, reports “NTV”.

According to Peskov, this move deals a blow to the prestige of international competition.

“Certainly, the decision of the Ukrainian side seriously devalues the upcoming competition, I guess, this is a blow to the prestige of “Eurovision”. The decision is unjust, a failure,” he said.

Peskov expressed hope that the decision to ban the entry Samoilova will be reviewed before the competition.

Previously, the First channel refused to replace singer Yulia Samoylova on the Eurovision song contest in Kiev.
