MOSCOW, 12 APR — RIA Novosti. U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson believes that the departure of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from his post must pass in an orderly manner.
“We really talked about the future role of Assad, be it political participation or non-participation in the political process. Our position is that the Assad regime comes to an end, they may blame themselves, their behavior, and a war that continues for several years,” said Tillerson at a press conference after talks with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
