Russia receives “direct signals” about preparing a military operation in Syria and warns that its effects will be on the conscience of those who prepare the action. This was stated on Thursday to journalists by the Deputy permanent representative to the UN Vladimir Safronkov on the results of the closed meeting of the Security Council.

He noted that the meeting took place “against the background of present information of hype on the preparation of military operations.” “We get on this topic and direct signals about what this military operation is prepared,” he said. According to him, during the discussion in the security Council Russia has warned that “all the possible consequences will lie on the conscience of those who such projects are planned”.
