Twitter has filed a lawsuit against authorities in the US requiring to disclose user data
MOSCOW, 7 APR — RIA Novosti. The company Twitter Inc has sued the US government trying to get personal information about the owner of one of the anonymous accounts on the microblogging service.
As the channel CNN, we are talking about the page, which calls itself an alternative account of government Service, citizenship and US immigration services (USCIS).
According to the lawsuit, employees of the border guard and customs services in March required the company to report the username, phone number, email address and IP address of the account owner, which attracted more than 40 thousand subscribers.
In its lawsuit, Twitter refers to the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which allows political campaign anonymously or under a pseudonym.
