MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. The state Duma called on the world parliaments and international parliamentary organizations to condemn the missile strikes the US on the Syrian air base in HOMS province.
“State Duma deputies appeal to world parliaments, inter-Parliamentary Union, parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe to condemn the aggressive actions of the United States, violate fundamental principles of international law that undermine cooperation in the fight against terrorism”, – stated in unanimously adopted today by the chamber of appeal in connection with a rocket attack on the United States military airfield in the Syrian Arab Republic on 7 April 2017. The draft document was prepared by the Committee of the lower house international Affairs.
Commitment to power to overthrow Assad
The appeal notes that “as a far-fetched excuse to commit act of armed aggression against the sovereign state of Washington used the tragedy with the death of the inhabitants of the province of Idlib from chemical weapons of unknown origin”. “Without a preliminary investigation, rejecting Russia’s proposal about the need for careful consideration of all the circumstances of the tragedy, the United States, given the geopolitical ambitions of world policeman, once again demonstrated commitment to violent action to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad,” – outraged the deputies.
