The Americans built a test section Hyperloop

American company Hyperloop One completed the construction of the test section Hyperloop transport system, which will be testing the passenger capsules. According to the company, built the test system is the world’s first Hyperloop plot fit for a full range of testing.

The project Hyperloop transport system was first introduced by the American entrepreneur Elon Musk in August 2013. In perspective the system of special cargo capsule will move with great velocity through the pipes. The pipes will be supported by the pressure in one-thousandth of the normal atmospheric pressure to reduce the aerodynamic resistance of the capsules.

The theoretical velocity of the capsules in the tubes of the Hyperloop system will amount to 1.2 thousand kilometers per hour. According to the company Hyperloop One, in her option of the pipe transport system speed will be about 740 miles per hour.

Test section, called DevLoop built in the suburbs of Las Vegas. System length is 500 meters. On DevLoop company Hyperloop One plans to practice its own technology of levitation and the movement of the capsules, evacuation and traffic management.

Until the end of the year the American company intends to form a team of 500 engineers, scientists and workers who will work on the development, testing and certification of Hyperloop technology.

In addition to the completion of the DevLoop the company announced preliminary results of its own contest Hyperloop One Global Challenge. It took about 2.6 thousand participants, offering various options for lining Hyperloop tracks and your ideas to the implementation of technology such transport.

According to the report Hyperloop One, the company selected the 11 teams that offered 11 different options of trails that will connect 35 cities. The total length of the proposed Hyperloop routes is 4.5 thousand kilometers. The selected One Hyperloop routes the new transport system includes:

  • Boston — Somerset — Providence (Massachusetts and Rhode island, 103 kilometers);
  • Cheyenne — Houston (Wyoming — Colorado — Oklahoma — Texas, 1854 kilometers);
  • Chicago — Columbus — Pittsburgh (Illinois — Indiana — Ohio — Pennsylvania, 786 kilometers);
  • Colorado Front Range mountain network (Colorado — Utah — Nevada — California, 580 kilometers);
  • Circular trail in the Colorado Front Range (Colorado, 390 miles);
  • Kansas city — St. Louis (Kansas — Missouri, 387 kilometers);
  • The Los Angeles- San Diego (CA, 195 kilometers);
  • Miami — Orlando (Florida, 414 kilometres);
  • Reno — Las Vegas (NV, 731 km);
  • Seattle — Portland (Washington — Oregon, and 279 kilometers);
  • The Texas triangle (the so-called area of Texas between Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, the length of the section Hyperloop in the area will be 1,030 kilometers).
  • In March last year, another American company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies has signed an agreement with the government of Slovakia on the development of the Hyperloop route in Central Europe. The routes of high-speed lines, the company under consideration include the direction Bratislava — Vienna Bratislava — Budapest.

    In the March 2017 Hyperloop Transportation Technologies have begun to assemble the first full-scale passenger capsules for the Hyperloop. Demonstration of a new capsule is scheduled for 2018. Testing and debugging will be held at the headquarters of the company in Toulouse in France.
