Spring conscription in the TRANS-Baikal, Kamchatka and Khabarovsk territories, the Chukotka Autonomous district and Yakutia will occur from may 1 to July 15. This was announced by first Deputy head of the Main organizational-mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Burdinsky, the TV channel “Russia 24”.
“Was an updated list of municipalities where a draft campaign will be calculated for the period from 1 may to 15 July. This is true of several subjects of the Russian Federation, such as Zabaykalsky Krai, Kamchatka Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)”, – he said.
Burdinsky said that this shift is associated with the weather conditions in the regions. “Stormy or snowy conditions will interfere with the movement of recruits. If we book the tickets for air transportation or railway transportation, and in a timely manner will not be able to get recruits, then it will incur a loss of both government and citizens subject to conscription, they were not timely sent to serve” – said the first Deputy head of the General staff.
