The EBU threatened to deprive Ukraine of “Eurovision” because of the refusal to let Samoylova
MOSCOW, 29 Mar — RIA Novosti. The European broadcasting Union (EBU) does not exclude that Ukraine will be suspended from participation in “Eurovision-2017”, if the situation with the participation in the competition, Russia will not be resolved before the end of next week. This was stated by the head of the EBU Ingrid Deltenre in an interview with Swiss newspaper Blick.
Deltenre noted that the song contest is not to “stir up the people against each other” and threatened to impose sanctions against Ukraine.
The head of the EBU announced that she is talks with President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman search for “a peaceful solution”, since only they can lift the ban Samoilova on entry or make it so that he began to act after a speech by Russian singer.
This year Russia on “the Eurovision” should be of Julia Samoylova with a song about Flame Is Burning. The security service of Ukraine has banned her entry into the country for three years because of her performances in the Crimea.
