The Federation Council supported the prohibition of money transfers to Ukraine through international payment system
The Federation Council approved a law banning money transfers from Russia to Ukraine through international payment systems.
The law establishes “a ban on cross-border money transfers without opening Bank accounts, which are carried out outside the framework of payment systems”.
According to approved amendments, in case of introduction of a foreign state restrictive measures against the Russian payment systems, money transfers from Russia to this country will be possible only through a system controlled by Russia.
The bill was a response to the introduction of Ukraine in October 2016 of sanctions against the Russian payment system “Kolibri” (controlled by Sberbank), the “Golden crown” (rnko “Payment center”), Blizko (the Bank), “International money transfers “Leader””, as well as managed the eponymous banks system Unistream and Anelik.
Ukraine introduced a ban on the use of electronic systems WebMoney and “Yandex. Money”, QIWI Wallet and Wallet One wallet one.
