Academy “Nika” admitted the drama Konchalovsky’s “Paradise” the best film of 2016
MOSCOW, 29 Mar — RIA Novosti. Drama by Andrei Konchalovsky’s “Paradise” is recognized as “Best feature film” 2016 according to the national cinema award “Nika”, the prize ceremony was held on Tuesday in the theater Mossovet.
For “Nika” in the nomination “best film” claimed six paintings: “Paradise” by Andrei Konchalovsky, “the Queen of Spades” by Pavel Lungin, “the Duelist” Alexey Mizgireva, “Collector” Alexey Krasovsky, “the Monk and the demon” Nikolai Dostal, “the Apprentice” by Kirill Serebrennikov, said at a press conference the organizers of the prize.
The movie “Ray” participated in the main competition program of the 73rd Venice international film festival, where it was awarded the “Silver lion” for direction. The picture was nominated from Russia for “Oscar” in a nomination “the Best foreign language film” and Golden globe, but in the end was not nominated.
Nika award was established in 1987 by the Secretariat of the Union of cinematographers of the USSR. Its founder and artistic Director — Director Yuli Gusman. Presidents award in different years were playwright Victor Merezhko, Director Eldar Ryazanov, actor Alexey Batalov. In 2013, the President took the Director Andrei Konchalovsky.
