Earlier the Minister said that the Ministry of agriculture considers Turkey imposed duties as pressure and rejects this way of return to the Russian market are forbidden Turkish products. According to him, such measures may lead to complete cessation of the importation of Russian wheat, maize, beans, rice and other agricultural products.
The newspaper “Kommersant”, citing experts reported that the total cash losses of the Russian producers from the artificial restrictions of export of Russian grain, corn, meal, and oil to Turkey may reach $500 million.
Turkey from March 15 excluded Russia from the list of countries for the licensing of duty-free deliveries of various types of imported agricultural products (wheat, maize, crude sunflower oil, sunflower meal, beans and rice).
Before the Turkish importers and processors could carry out duty-free import of Russian goods on the territory of the country on the basis of licences issued for imports of agricultural products in the “internal processing”.
Russia’s agriculture Ministry with reference to the earlier exporters reported that the size of the import customs duties for wheat and corn is 130%, rice 45%, sunflower — 13,5%, pulses of 9.7%. The duty on the import of sunflower oil — to an average of 36%, while the minimum threshold is applied to the customs value in the amount of 1.5 thousand dollars per ton.
