The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov considers that the West is a deliberate campaign to discredit Russia. He stated this at a meeting with representatives of non-profit organizations, according to RIA Novosti.
“In the rapid development of information and communication technologies the maintenance of stability in world Affairs largely depends on the objective of the work of the media. This is not promoted in the West a deliberate campaign to discredit Russia,” — said Lavrov.
He also noted that Moscow is concerned about numerous cases of restrict the professional activities of Russian journalists.
“And we expect that professional associations will continue to promote high journalism standards,” he hoped the Minister.
January 17, Lavrov reacted sharply to statements about the Russian cyber threat. The Minister noted that many people want, “so soon forgotten” cases of cyber attacks from the national security Agency of the United States. Among them, he said breaking the internal video conferencing UN, listening to French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the EU leadership.
