The court in Odessa seized the ship from Tanzania for trade with the Crimea
The captain was attracted to administrative and criminal liability.
Moscow. March 17. INTERFAX.RU — the Court in Odessa confiscated sailing under the flag of Tanzania the ship Sky Moon, the export from the Crimea to bypass Ukrainian customs party technical soda, according to the website of the military Prosecutor of the southern region of Ukraine.
The ship, whose fate was decided in court, was arrested November 10, 2016 near the port of Reni. Its captain was found guilty of an administrative offense — transportation from the Crimea to bypass customs more than 3 thousand tons of technical soda cost nearly 18.5 million hryvnia (nearly 40 million).
“This is the largest consignment in the history of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, which confiscated by the court for violation of customs regulations. Also for the first time in the history of Ukraine, the court decided on the confiscation of the vessel,” — said the Agency.
The prosecution said were prosecuted and brought before the court already referred to the captain of the ship, one of the founders of the company-cargo owner — the citizen of Moldova. Also addressed the issue of the accountability of the representative of the shipowner is a citizen of Romania, who organized the Commission of a crime.
In addition, the prosecution intends to formally inform the authorities of the Czech Republic that was in its territory a legal entity violated the EU sanctions ban trade with the Crimea.
