Lightning struck two aircraft preparing for landing at the airport of Istanbul
MOSCOW, 17 Mar — RIA Novosti. Lightning struck two aircraft that were preparing to land in Istanbul airport Ataturk, the Agency Dogan.
In Istanbul torrential rains continue, the sky Cumulus clouds. According to the Agency, the lightning struck the hull of the first aircraft, the controllers informed the pilots of the second aircraft.
The pilots decided to go on an extra round before landing, but in the end, lightning still struck the aircraft.
Both aircraft landed safely at the airport. About casualties or damage to aircraft were reported.
