Israel launched strikes on the positions of Hamas in response to rocket fire from Gaza
MOSCOW, 16 Mar — RIA Novosti. The Israeli air force attacked two positions of the Islamist movement Hamas controlled Gaza in response to rocket fire from the enclave, said the Israeli armed forces.
“In response to the night rocket fire from Gaza, the Israeli air force attacked two Hamas positions in the North of the Gaza strip,” reads a statement posted on the official account of the armed forces on Twitter.

According to the Israeli army, a rocket fired from the Gaza strip fell in an open area in southern Israel on Wednesday.
