“Everyone remaining in Mosul the militants will die, because they are all trapped. We plan to not only defeat them, but not allow them to leave,” said Mcguirk. He noted that loyal to Baghdad, the security forces managed to cut off the last road leading out of town.
The Iraqi army said that already control a third of the Western part of Mosul, and the battle for the remaining neighborhoods will be more transient, than the campaign to capture the Eastern part.
